Famed and highly influential director Werner Herzog, whose truly amazing films include Little Dieter Needs to Fly and Fitzcarraldo, describes saving Joaquin Phoenix in a car accident some years ago. Herzog happened to be driving right behind him and pulled him from the wreckage.
