During the Spring of 2010, artist James Lahey and his brother rode their motorcycles on an epic eight day journey from Chicago to Santa Monica along Route 66. A series of of paintings and photographs, directly inspired by this road-trip, will be presented in his next exhibition.

Cacciola Gallery in New York City, Galerie de Bellefeuille in Montreal, and Nicholas Metivier Gallery in Toronto. In 2001 he was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy. He sits on the board of Toronto's Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and the Acquisitions Committee at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

His next exhibition, "Eight Days", will open at Nicholas Metivier Gallery on April 7. A limited edition folio of photographs and a catalogue including poems by Lynn Crosbie and foreword by Bruce Mau will accompany the exhibition.
