"Propositions" is a photographic collaboration between Peter Horvath in Toronto and Chris Soos in Los Angeles. Both took pictures using the Polaroid application on their iPhones in response to an agreed-upon theme. While Horvath remained in Toronto, Soos travelled the world: the exchange of images became a kind of conversation.
This exhibition, part of the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival, will run from May 5 to 28, 2011. On Thursday, May 5, there will be a reception for the artists from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and all are welcome to attend. Rumour has it that Edward Burtynsky will be in attendance since he is not only one of Peter Horvath's old friends but his exhibition "Monegros" opens the same night in Nicholas Metivier Gallery's main space.
