Local art initiative Art Spin is hosting a fundraising dinner next week in support of their 2011 program.
If you are not familiar, Art Spin is a free monthly bicycle tour of galleries (commercial, artist run & public) which takes place in various downtown Toronto neighbourhoods throughout the summer months. In addition to the gallery visits, many of the events include interactive elements where participants and artists come together and create a fun and enlightening dialog.
The Ministry of Artistic Affairs is a big supporter of Art Spins mandate to promote Toronto's vibrant art scene and highly encourages you to attend what is sure to be a fun event. You can buy tickets here, and more information about the event is available below.

It is with great excitement that we would like to invite you to crEATe!
crEATe is a community style dinner during which artists will pitch art project proposals. You vote on which pitch you think is most worthy of being included in one of this summer's Art Spin tours. The artist who receives the most votes will get the profits from the dinner to fund their art project.
This grass-roots, micro-funding strategy is an exciting way to directly involve Art Spin participants in the programing of future tours while supporting Art Spin and the artists who make our event so great.
Tickets for crEATe are $45 for a three course meal (cash bar will be in effect). Tickets must be purchased in advance, just visit our website www.artspin.ca and click on the crEATe logo where you can purchase using Pay Pal.

crEATe will take place on Wednesday, June 8th. at Lula Lounge at 1585 Dundas St. W. Doors open at 6:30pm and dinner will be served at 7pm.
Please indicate in advance if you would prefer the vegetarian option for your meal.
